IF YOU’RE HAVING AN IDENTITY CRISIS RIGHT NOW……. you’re doing something right.

I won’t get into snakes and horses and seasons and this god awful fucked up world we are living in to prove this point… but I could… because that’s all a lot of great proof.

Instead I’ll just be honest. I’m here and so are a lot of my witchy friends who are in leadership roles. I’m here and so are a ton of my clients… and not just the ones who came off of a retreat with me and @wehateyouchloe and @asaparena although they DEFINITELY are.

Girl this is just pattern recognition 😂

Identity crises can be thrilling and terrifying. The moments where you say you’re going to do one thing and then begin planning the exact thing you said you wouldn’t do (like I did yesterday in a meeting lol) are supposed to happen. We’re supposed to see the exact distance we are from who we’re becoming. We’re supposed to let the excuses come tumbling out. Most importantly, we’re supposed to call ourselves out on our own shit, pause, take note of the BS you are trying to fit yourself into out of habit, and then laugh about it. IT’S OK TO NOT BE PERFECT (people keep telling me this idfk why tho 🙃😂🤮).

Have you noticed that it’s not just the spirit world that’s collided with our reality? It’s also the shadows that haunt our perception of self and our relationships.

To put it bluntly - the veil isn’t just thin between our world and the other realm.

The veil is also thin between illusion and clarity. Lies and truth. Who people really are and who they want you to think they are. Who you are and who you’re becoming. What you used to accept and what you won’t tolerate anymore.

I know it’s frustrating, I know it’s like digging a hole in your own heart right now all of these hard decisions and leaps of faith in the name of self awareness and healing.

It’s worth it. What you can see now, it’s worth it to look some more. What you can feel now, that truth beneath the surface, it’s been waiting for you to notice.

The gratification won’t be immediate but it will be on time.

You’re not crazy, you’re being shown the way forward.

What I wish more people knew about me and my work:

I’m really, really quite sensitive. Yes this is so helpful when I’m giving to you in a session AND I have big feelings in my personal life often.

I believe in and I am so grateful to be in therapy. Therapy is an amazing addition to my work.

I am not reading your mind or seeing your shadows or talking to/seeing dead people when I’m outside of a session. That’s intrusive and honestly would be exhausting. This is a learned skill and an absolute boundary that protects my energy.

I’m not judging you for not having your shit together. No one really has their shit together. It’s not an expectation of mine for you. I just expect kindness and honesty.

Speaking of honesty, the most frustrating thing I deal with in my work is when a client isn’t being honest with me. Not because it hurts my feelings, but because I believe that if you’re paying to feel better then you might as well get your moneys worth.

I’m totally psychic. Sometimes it’s so cool, especially when people get everything they want and that I saw. Other times it’s frustrating when I see some shit coming my way. Either way it’s one of my favorite gifts.

I started my business because I needed someone like the person I’ve become. I did this work with myself first quietly and alone in a small New York City apartment just TRYING to feel calm and not so anxious and depressed. It worked… better than I thought it ever could.

I figured out I could do energy healing the first time I took 🍄 all by accident. I got reiki certifications to understand what was happening and to give me some language around my new found skills.

I do consider myself a full time witch. I’m not afraid of the word witch. I love being a witch! I’m not the devil because I am a witch. 😂

Sometimes being who I am makes me feel lonely. Loneliness is one of the longest standing shadow feelings of my life. It comes with the territory and I would rather feel that over inauthentic or not of service.

I don’t do love and light. I do real, clear and full spectrum work.

You don’t have to apologize for telling me your life story or for “dumping” on me in session. It’s what you paid for!

Our hurricane rescue, our crazy girl who climbs trees and hunts squirrels, our snuggle bug, our fearless yapper who made us a family 😭

This was the first year she had us spend some bank on her health and were happy to report that she’s doing just fine. It’s sooooo Piper to have an extra big heart 🥲

Who were we having 2 rescue dogs just 9 months into dating at just 26 years old @asaparena ?!?

I’m sure you can feel as we step further into October
that “the veil” is thinning… or in other words… that the perceived difference between our world, our reality and the spirit world where our guides, ancestors and loved ones we have lost live are starting to blend. We see this reflected back to us in nature as the leaves first turn fiery then fall.

While I may be more finely tuned to this season of in between I trust that you can absolutely feel it too, you may just not have the words for it yet. The lights may be flickering in your house, you may feel a presence that’s unfamiliar and yet a little exciting to experience… the darkness falling over our hemisphere may begin to shift your perception of self in ways that feel uncomfortable yet welcomed.

This is autumn. This is the in between of leaving life behind and choosing to settle into the magic of darkness.

While teaching the younger OMies this morning, I watched them naturally fall into holding hands at the end of class. It made me smile and remember last Novembers GA retreat when 2 women did the same. I can’t help but think this is one giant metaphor for the power and the MAGIC that happens when girls and women come together for a shared purpose. Whether it’s to heal, to explore, to relax or to embody… we are drawn to loving on our sister next to us as we love on ourselves. ✨🖤

SUMMER ENERGY + how to play with it —

Abundance turns to overflow, check in with yourself and your containers (body, home, mind, backends of business, etc). Make sure you have additional support for when the heat turns up — what and who holds and soothes you best?

Trust and celebrate and respect the water — the ocean, the lake, the rain storm, your tears, the cold shower. How quickly do you believe your cup is half empty? How soon are you willing to refill it? Will you let yourself float? Will you let yourself dance?

Overgrowth can require pruning, but first take a moment to connect with the expansion.

More bodies, less covering. You are STUNNING. Accept it, love it, love you.

Who were you as a child in the summer? What do you need now?

Know the difference between a vacation and a family trip.

Learn how to dive in head first. Play is freedom.

Let your hair get long and wild and tangled.

The last year in business I’ve been quietly challenged. This week Jill Arena turns 3, and in this last year I started and ended another venture, SW. I took on roles I am really good at, but ultimately brought me anxiety rather than fulfillment. I over stretched myself and put my witchy brain into a cage of old, masculine, corporate torment with the hopes of freedom on the other side. Why did I think I was not already free? Why did I forget that client work is the most fulfilling dream come to life imaginable? Why did I think complicating would bring abundance? I know better, but parts of me had to catch up.

That’s why I’ve brought @igniteengagement on board to support me through the many challenges that come with growth, alignment and ultimately connection as I move through what it takes to build a sustainable ME in order to have a sustainable business.

Last week I went to SC and had 2 incredible days with my sister in law Kristen and my coach Rachel and now I feel like I can add the sparkle back into JA that she deserves. No more cutting corners, no more making excuses. Just full body YES from here on out.

It’s scary to post this. I forgot I was mic’ed when I said this. I didn’t feel scared saying it then, but I do now! Why thought???! Why is it so scary to be honest about this thing I do still feel sometimes in front of more people than 2 women I trust?

My brain is trying to tell me a laundry list of all the reasons not to share this — but how has that ever healed me or someone who needs to feel seen, heard, less alone right now?
